Pre / On Carriage

  • Pre-Carriage – Any inland movement BEFORE the container is delivered to the port/terminal
  • On-Carriage – Any inland movement AFTER the container is picked up from the port/terminal

Fcl / Lcl

  • FCL (Full Container Load), or full container: the client's goods are transported in a filled and sealed container;
  • LCL (Less than Container Load) or grouped shipment: the client' goods are not numerous enough to fill a container, the goods of several clients are put into one container.

Oversized Cargo

  • For over-the-road trucking, oversized goods are defined as any load whose dimensions exceed 8.5 ft ( 2,6m ) in width and 13.5-14.5 ft ( 4,3m ) in length, however for ocean transportation any piece of cargo that does not fit in one 40' or 45' container is considered oversized

  • General cargo includes high value goods, such as electronics, jewellery and pharmaceuticals. Air shipping is more expensive than shipping by sea, but due to the high margins and the fact that many electronic goods are fragile, air freight is the most appropriate form of transport.
  • Special cargo requires special conditions for transporting goods, such as temperature control, certain air conditions or protected casing (e.g. if the goods are hazardous or livestock).

Customs ( Support )

  • Customs clearance (support) involves preparation and submission of documentations required to facilitate export or imports into an country, representing client during customs examination, assessment, payment of duty and co taking delivery of cargo from customs after clearance along with documents.

  • Warehousing is the act of storing goods that will be sold or distributed later. While a small, home-based business might be warehousing products in a spare room, basement, or garage, larger businesses typically own or rent space in a building that is specifically designed for storage.
